Neofolk Industrial Martial (Germany-2009)
Debut album of the project of Stefan S. who has worked with the grand Von Thronstahl. Personally, as I had paid attention to Langemarck, and was attentive to
know the debut album, since one of the most excellent compiled Neofolk Martial Industrial: Neo-Form 1 (2005), included one of their songs: Pest (track 12 in this CD).
This album is a compilation of songs from the most refined Neofolk, with chords that vary between the neoclassical, martial tunes intermingled with Industrial and subtle, while there is a strong element of ritual.
It has beautiful neofolk ballads, sung in German as Death 2006, noted for its chords that approximate floydian progressive. Regen and Elite, whose melodies and singing so pleasantly to remind me the most emotional songs of Forseti. Dreamland, the only one sung in English.
The other relevant issues of this album, are those martial bases, with a tempo marking and vocalization ritual closest to the cadence of Uwe Nolte (Orplid). Meiner Braut (Im Felde), Sun, Erstes Morgenrot and Olymp, are excellent songs interspersed declaim and samples, showing clearly the value of the song of a soldier ready to face combat, or nostalgy for his intimate memories, in their way back home.
Injustitia est Commodatum is a wonderful work, which places to Stefan S. among the largest Martial Neofolk referents. Essential for those who are excited and feel their souls vibrate with bands like Forseti, Sonne Hagal, Orplid or Von Thronstahl. Excellence highly recommended.
My favorite tracks: Death 2006, Regen, Elite, Meiner Braut (Im Felde), Sun, Olymp.
